LOUVRE WINDOWS

Mixing style and practicality, louvres suit any style home. And better yet, you can clean both
sides of a louvre window from inside – especially useful if you live in a multi-storey home.

HOW LOUVRE WINDOWS WORK

Louvre windows are made of blades that open outward. The blades turn 180 degrees to let in as little or as much air as you wish. When closed, the blades sit flush with the wall.

They offer the ultimate in ventilation control. Open them up fully to make the most of a cool summer breeze or partially (even during wet weather) to maintain ventilation and help prevent condensation. For privacy, and to maximise air circulation, place louvres above head height.

Opening louvre windows to different angles will allow the sun to make contact evenly across the surface to assist with uniform colouration and drying.

CONFIGURATIONS

Blades can be horizontal or vertical. Speak to your local Fairview manufacturer for more information.

THINGS TO

THINK ABOUT

Matching Style
Add a stylish touch with a choice of aluminium blades over glass, or aluminium with a EUROWOOD finish that looks like real timber.

Glazing Options
Louvres with frosted glass are great for bathrooms and other rooms where privacy is needed.

Light Control
Aluminium blades over glass allow for light and shade control.

Practical
In addition to exhaust fans in bathrooms, louvres allow hot steamy air to escape to help reduce condensation and prevent mould forming.

Privacy Control
For privacy and to maximise air circulation, place louvres above head height. Another plus is there’s no need for blinds or curtains.
