Where it all started
The story behind Fairview begins in 1968, when Peter Lewis started a steel joinery business in Timaru. Three months in, the factory burned to the ground. He rebuilt it. And with that rebuild came the mindset that has driven the business ever since: grit, ingenuity, and the belief that every setback is just fuel for what comes next.
More than 50 years later, that business has grown into FMIBI, a New Zealand-owned manufacturing technology company operating across Australasia. Fairview is part of that group, and proud of it.
