500System Commercial
A commercial shopfront system built for New Zealand projects
The 500System is Fairview's commercial shopfront solution, designed specifically for New Zealand's building and construction environment. Versatile, well-engineered and available across a wide range of configurations, it's a system that works as hard as the projects it goes into.
The 500System has been developed around three base depths — 100mm, 125mm and 150mm — giving specifiers and fabricators genuine flexibility to meet the performance and aesthetic requirements of any project without compromising either. A 75mm captive-only option is also available for projects where a more minimal profile is required.
Tested to AS/NZS 4284, the system has been subjected to extreme structural testing, including simulated wind speeds in excess of 270km/h. Whatever the brief, it's built to perform.
Where it works
The 500System suits a broad range of commercial applications: office buildings, factory offices, retail fitouts, cafes and restaurants, schools and educational facilities, and interior commercial fitouts. If the project is commercial and needs a shopfront solution, the 500System has a configuration to match.
Glazing and aesthetic options
The system accommodates double glazing up to 30mm, with both captive and structural glazing options available. Captive glazing delivers a modern, minimal aesthetic; structural glazing offers a flat, flush facade. Both can be combined on the same elevation for more complex or distinctive street frontages.
